| EXHIBITION: 100 YEARS ACADEMY OF ARCHITECTURE AMSTERDAM |
The Amsterdam Academy of Architecture is celebrating its first 100 years in a big way. The centenary year kicks off on August 28th with the exhibition 'Stad uit de school', which shows how teachers and students at the Academy have influenced the Amsterdam cityscape.

Roombeek, the part of Enschede devastated by the fireworks disaster of May 2000, has now been almost entirely rebuilt. Homeowners were given plenty of leeway in deciding how their house should be redesigned and refitted in accordance with the best urban design insights of the past decades. The results can be seen in the book Op locatie.
