New: Cities Full of Space

Cities throughout the world are becoming increasingly inefficient in their management of the space available to them. Personal land use is also increasing dramatically; in the Netherlands for instance, this is now twelve times what it was a century ago. And this development is expected to continue worldwide.

Rudy Uytenhaak conducted a study into the densities of the built environment and into ways of offering sufficient spatial compensation for the achieved density. Uytenhaak draws on examples from his own work as well as from that of other architects. You can find his measures and proposals to build more compact yet more attractive cities in the recently published Cities Full of Space.
